Church History

Bethel Baptist Church was organized June 2 , 1939, in the Fostoria YMCA by Reverend Charles T Isom (executive secretary of the Ohio Baptist general association), Reverend Coleman (moderator of the Western Union district association) and Reverend Pennington. The church had 6 charter members. Bethel has been blessed to have many anointed pastors throughout the years. 

Currently the Pastor of Bethel Baptist Church is Reverend Jerry L Copeland. On May the 10th, 2014 Reverend Copeland accepted the call and became the 12th pastor for Bethel Baptist Church of Fostoria. He was installed on July the 13th 2014 by Reverend Robert Jackson of Harvest Grove Baptist Church of Dayton, OH.  

Over the years, Bethel Baptist has established many new ministries and church teams. There is a new members class, compliance team, leadership, and strategic planning Ministry. Along with Sunday school classes and lessons each Sunday.
